For sole traders who’d rather be on the tools
Say the job.
We’ll do the paperwork.
Your own website, plus an app that turns a quick voice note into a proper quote or invoice. All in one, and all yours.
Free: unlimited quotes and 5 invoices a month. No card needed.
Sound familiar?
Facebook’s fine. Until someone wants a quote.
- Customers search for you on Google and find nothing.
- Quotes scribbled on the back of an envelope, or never sent at all.
- Evenings lost to invoices when you should have your feet up.
TradesDone sorts all three.
What you get
Everything you need to look the part and get paid.
Your own website
A proper site with your name, your logo and photos of your work. Customers find you on Google and send an enquiry. It’s yours.
An app for the van
Enquiries, jobs, quotes and invoices, all on your phone. Post photos of a finished job to your site in a couple of taps.
Say it. Sorted.
Tap and talk: “Bill Mrs Doris for the hedge, forty quid.” A tidy invoice with your logo on lands in her inbox.
How it works
From “are you free?” to paid.
- 01
They find you
A homeowner searches for a gardener near them and finds your website.
- 02

Why TradesDone
Not another app to learn.
Your name on it, not ours
Customers see your logo on your website, quotes and invoices. TradesDone sits quietly at the bottom.
One thing, not five
No website builder, invoicing app and spreadsheet to juggle. It’s all in one place and it all talks to each other.
Built for the van
Big buttons, plain words and your voice instead of typing. If you can send a WhatsApp voice note, you can use it.
Making Tax Digital
HMRC wants your records digital. Yours already are.
Making Tax Digital means sole traders have to keep digital records and send HMRC an update every quarter. Paper invoices and a notebook won’t cut it any more.
- Every job, quote and invoice saved digitally as you go. No shoebox of receipts.
- Export your invoices to Xero or QuickBooks, or hand them straight to your accountant.
- Less of a scramble when the quarterly updates are due.
Who it applies to, and when
- April 2026Over £50k a year
- April 2027Over £30k a year
- April 2028Over £20k a year
Based on your yearly income from self-employment and property, before expenses. TradesDone isn’t tax software and doesn’t file with HMRC. It keeps your records tidy so the software or accountant that does has everything ready.
Questions
Fair questions.
Do I need to be good with tech?
No. If you can send a voice note on WhatsApp, you can use TradesDone. We’ll help you get your site set up.
I’ve already got a Facebook page. Do I need this?
Keep your Facebook page. A website gives Google something to find and gives customers a proper place to send an enquiry. You can link the two.
How much does it cost?
The app is free, with unlimited quotes and 5 invoices a month. Unlimited invoices are £9 a month. If you want your own website, we build it for a one-off £299 to £499 depending on its size, then it’s £29 a month.
How do my customers pay?
By bank transfer to start with. Your bank details go on every invoice, and the money goes straight to you.
Does it help with Making Tax Digital?
Yes. Every job and invoice is kept digitally, and you can export them to Xero or QuickBooks or send them to your accountant. TradesDone doesn’t file with HMRC itself. That’s what your accounting software or accountant does.
